![]() Speaking of PlayStation 5 features, Neptunia ReVerse performs fantastically with virtually no loading times which allows you to jump in and out of battle seamlessly and that makes exploring the dungeons feel much more immersive. That being said, it is rewarding catching new kinds of fish and the fact that the DualSense is used in clever ways by taking advantage of its motion controls, haptic feedback, and adaptive triggers is admittedly quite cool. Hey, I spotted Spelunker!Īnother nifty inclusion is a fishing mini-game which can be fun although whenever you mess up, you might have to fight an enemy which kind of got on my nerves after a while. That being said, there are moments when you'll need to grind in order to be strong enough to deal with new enemies and that can be a bummer when you want to simply forge ahead. There are a lot of adjustments put into place, too, to help with balancing and for the most part, it all works beautifully. You also get an absurd amount of costumes and accessories that change characters' appearances and can alter their base stats, too. In this mode, you have access to all 27 characters which is awesome. So, what's different in Neptunia ReVerse? Well, the most substantial addition is Arrange Mode which I jumped into right away because I'm very familiar with the original game. It's a very satisfying RPG formula and when you factor in the rewarding dungeons, guild quests, and boss fights you're looking at one enjoyable journey. Between bouts, you can optimize your party by equipping new gear that you can find, buy, and create as well as set up formations, combos, and much more. Meanwhile, you'll need to spread out and take defensive positions to avoid taking too much damage as well as deploy a wide variety of skills and combo attacks to gain the upper-hand. One of the coolest aspects about Neptunia is its battle system which has you move your party members around circular arenas while attacking enemies as efficiently as possible. v1d30chumz 78-26-147-81 How is little Broccoli going to stand a chance against these monsters? Plus, if you still haven't got into the series and are curious about it, Neptunia ReVerse makes for an excellent starting point so give it a go if you want to see what this kooky franchise is all about. Thankfully, the character designs are just awesome, there's a full English voice cast who give each character tons of personality, the music is wonderfully energetic, and it's quite a fun-filled adventure in the end. It's a very meta game and quite hilarious to boot. For the unfamiliar, the story follows a handful of goddesses who represent the real-world hardware manufacturers as they battle in the console wars. Well, the humble origins of this fun-filled RPG series has come a long way because it's now available for PlayStation 5 and it's better than ever. ![]() That's right Neptunia ReVerse is an enhanced iteration of the Vita remake Hyperdimension Neptunia Re Birth 1 which is based on the original Hyperdimension Neptunia for PlayStation 3.
